1.《权力的游戏》大结局：再见了，陪伴我们8年的神剧！

First off, winter has come and gone for Game of Thrones fans and now that the show is finally over, many people are unhappy. Over one million angry fans have now signed a petition insisting that the writers of the show go back to office and rewrite a different ending.

While many people claim that it would have been nearly impossible to meet everyone’s high expectations for the ended of the show, a lot of people are claiming that the writers rushed through to the end.

But it didn’t seem like the actors were too thrilled about the ending either. With one major actor from the show claiming it was, “disappointing.” Oh well. You can’t win them all…

守望结束了，在经历了8年，73集以及天知道多少死亡之后，《权力的游戏》这部经典作品终于迎来了它的完结。最终的结局与其说是给剧中角色一个安排，反倒不如说是为了给辛辛苦苦追了这部美剧8年的剧迷一个交代，不过很多人对这个“交代”并不是很满意。

2.台湾同性婚姻合法 最晚2019年5月24日同性就能结婚。

In Taiwan however, there was a big win for the LGBT community. Last week, the country became the first in Asia to legalize gay marriage. "Today is a proud day for Taiwan," said Taiwanese president on Friday."It is the day Taiwan let the world see the goodness and value of this land. Everyone's love is equal.”

The law will go into effect on May 24th, and people around the world are celebrating the news. People around the world hope that this will be the first of many countries to shift their views towards gay, lesbian and transgender populations.

据台湾“中央社”2月21日报道，台当局“行政院会”当天通过了“司法院释字第748号解释施行法”草案，规定岛内年满18岁的同性伴侣可成立同性婚姻关系，专法自5月24日起实施。法案后续将送“立院”审议。

3.2019年520 上海共2697对新人登记结婚

This past Sunday marked a day of love for people all around China. As most of you already know, this became a day of love simply due to the fact that the pronunciation of the date sounds like ‘I love you’ in Chinese.

Like most holidays, certain items saw a vast increase in price. Flowers that usually sell for 3RMB sold for 20 or 30. Certain imported roses sold for as much as 300! Many couples hope to officially marry on this day, however, it is more challenging than people realize.

In Shanghai, hundreds of couples lined up at 6am in front of the city’s marriage registration office.

因谐音“我爱你”，5月20日成为不少人秀恩爱的日子。不少情侣则选择在这样一个甜蜜的日子里，完成人生大事——结婚登记。

每年的5月20日，都是新人们扎堆登记婚姻的日子，今年也不例外。市民政局说，2019年5月20日，上海共计办理结婚登记2697对。

4.别人家的校友：美亿万富豪“壕”甩4000万美元为毕业生还学生贷款

It’s no secret that the cost of college tuition in America can be quite high. Last week, graduating seniors from Morehouse College, located in Atlanta, Georgia, got some really good financial news.

The news came from Robert F. Smith, who gave a speech at their college. He promised to pay off each of the seniors’ student loan debt. He plans to pay for 396 students, which adds up to tens of millions of dollars. Smith claims that he wants these students to be able to focus on building their careers and families, rather than paying off student loan debt.

Student loan debt is currently a big issue in America, so this act of kindness is a wonderful surprise.

原本以为，不过是大学毕业典礼的“常规套路”，邀请知名校友接受荣誉学位、发表讲话鼓励鼓励即将进入社会的毕业生们——直到史密斯突然在讲话中宣布，他将为莫尔豪斯学院所有2019届毕业生还清学生贷款。

据莫尔豪斯学院校长表示，这意味着史密斯将为该校396位毕业生支付高达4000万美元（约合人民币2.8亿元）的学生贷款。
